A little about me…
My Claim to Fame
It was 1982 and the hit tv series Fame was playing in the background on our wood-framed floor-model television, its theme song blaring: “Fame, I want to live forever.” That was my queue. Enter stage right – Catherine. Wrapped in nothing but a towel and clutching my ukulele, I ran into the living room expressing the theme song’s lyrics through interpretive dance - “I want to learn how to fly! “(dramatic pause). And with a flick of my uke pic, the climax, the crescendo, I sang the final note, the final lyric, “High!” and dropped my towel. Laughter erupted and my job was done! I took my final bow.
I am not sure why I never liked being clothed but from what I understand from family, it was a childhood pattern to leave a trail of clothes behind me. Thankfully I have retired the ukulele and I do wear clothes now!
Flash Job
I remember thinking it was funny to flash everyone while playing my ukulele, but something deeper was going on beneath the surface that to the naked eye just seemed like childhood silliness. I knew my antics would get them laughing every time, alleviating them temporarily from their ongoing re-lived pain. As soon as I witnessed the darkness of depression and anxiety enter my mom’s sphere of existence, I felt it was my responsibility to relieve it. When my nan (Canadian speak for grandmother) was ill, I felt it was my job to make her feel better. When there was death in my family – and there was a lot of death – I felt it was my job to elevate the conversations. Who gave me this job anyways? Oh. Me.
My Calling
I was about 2 or 3 years old when I realized that I had the ability to connect to alternate realities as well as read and manipulate energy. I didn’t have a name for it at that age, nor did I think it was anything unusual or special. It was what it was. Me. I spoke to spirits, played with invisible friends, and used my mind to send healing energy and messages through the air. This energy expressed through me in a variety of ways including art, music, laughter, and writing. My free time was spent drawing, playing a few musical instruments (yes, one was a ukulele), watching I Love Lucy and Three’s Company, writing short stories and poetry. I was most at home with a pencil in my hand - Ahhhhh the fresh scent of a newly sharpened Ticonderoga HB pencil!
What I do
I started seeing clients in 2007, offering readings, healings as well as channeled information. I work with the Pleiadians and Acturians, Ascended Masters and Archangels, communicating with and accessing their energy for the purpose of broadcasting their messages, light transfers, activations and transmuting energy. I also offer life path guidance and connect with loved ones who have transitioned. I work with a variety of clients, including those in the public eye, as well as with those who are just waking up to their psychic abilities. Many clients also come to see me when they are ready for a little energetic nudge into their next unfolding creation. As an artist, I express myself through a variety of mediums, but painting has been my main focus for many years now. My paintings are guided purely from intuition with no set plan, and I rarely know what the final piece will look like until I am finished. I also paint “Soul Paintings” and “Starseed Origins” which means that I paint what I see from different dimensions and what I feel from a client’s energetic blueprint.
Work Stuff
In 2007 I began working with founder and spiritual director of Agape International Spiritual Center, Michael Beckwith, as his Publicist and Content Producer of his #1 radio show, Wake Up – The Sound of Transformation. I had the honor of working with hundreds of well-known spiritual teachers and by the end of my tenure, I had booked and produced over 500 shows. I have also held a volunteer position as an Executive Team Member with Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment (GATE), founded by John Raatz and honorary founders, Eckart Tolle and Jim Carrey. One of the most creative projects that I was involved with was as a Consulting Producer on In Deep Shift with Jonas Elrod on the OWN Network. For many years I also had the privilege of supporting Kehn Rinpoche, a respected teacher and Buddhist monk appointed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the head Abbot of the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, by helping raise funds and awareness about their mission. I am currently the Executive Director of American Dance Movement, founded by producers Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman, an organization focused on funding dance programs in underserved communities while celebrating the art form of dance and its many therapeutic benefits. When I am not focused on dance and dancing (clothed), I enjoy working with clients in my free time.
What Really Matters
What did I miss? I am from Halifax, NS, Canada. I love fish and chips, and old churches and graveyards.
Exit stage left - Catherine, off to watch her favorite episode of Three’s Company, Up in The Air.
